We ship the worms in a cloth bag inside the box. You can keep them alive for months in a plastic tub or plastic shoe box from Dollar General or Walmart feeding them oatmeal or wheat bran and a slice of potatoe for a water supply. when the oatmeal or bran starts looking like sand its time to add more or sift and add more bran.
